About That Speeding Ticket…

19 Action News’ Chuck Galeti mentioned this in a radio brief yesterday afternoon, and the Akron Beacon-Journal’s Brian Windhorst touched on it in his most recent blog entry.LeBron James reportedly plead “no contest” to his driving of 101 miles per hour during the morning of his birthday.  King James was fined $259 for the citation.And of course, the last line of BW’s post left me (an underpaid, overworked 20-something in the MidWest) feeling wonderful about myself.

Tonight, his game check was worth $118,500.00.

Needless to say, James won’t be going hungry after cutting a check to the state of Ohio.
