Lending a helping hand

When you have the opportunity to do good, you should take it. When someone needs help, by all means please do what you can. That’s why I’d like to take a moment and lend a helping hand to DeShawn Stevenson. It seems DeShawn is having a hard time understanding who Damon Jones is. (From DC Sports Bog)

(Best moments yesterday? Bruce Boudreau walking through the hallway during Wiz interviews, Brendan Haywood reaching out to shake his hand and say “Good luck coach.” Eddie Jordan discussing Wiz fans, saying “when we play a game like we did [Monday] night, heck, they might cheer for Cleveland. And DeShawn Stevenson refusing to address Damon Jones’s hand waggle, saying “I don’t know who Damon Jones is, so it doesn’t matter.”)

Well, I’m certain that a few of your teammates might remember Damon Jones. Try asking Butler, Arenas, Haywood, Jamison or Daniels. They probably have an idea, but I understand that you might not be the most popular guy in the Wizard van right now, so I’ll help you out. I could link to his NBA player card, or even offer up his Wikio page. But what might be best is a little video introduction. See 2 seasons ago, yes before you arrived, the Cavaliers and Wizards had a pretty decent series that the Cavs won 4 games to 2. The final 2 games of that series went to OT, and the very last shot was made by none other than Damon Jones. It’s play #1 in the video. (Ask Jamison, he had a pretty good view of it.)
