Cleveland Rumor Mill: Cavaliers, Jermaine O’Neal Trade?
May 30, 2008Lets Talk Draft
May 30, 2008I’ve long wondered what Sports Time Ohio planned on doing in terms of programming; you know, when the Indians aren’t playing? More recently, we have all started to see a few commercials for up-coming television shows, mostly those involving Bruce Drennan. However, there’s another sho on the horizon, and one of our very own Cleveland Browns looks to be in the mix. Via Badgers Blog…
Former University of Wisconsin football star Joe Thomas is a TV star, too.
Thomas, an offensive lineman in his second year with the Cleveland Browns, will be co-hosting “Outdoors Ohio with D’Arcy Egan and Joe Thomas” on SportsTime Ohio. Egan is the outdoors writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
I mean, who better to host a show about fishing than Joe Thomas? The big guy didn’t even attend the NFL draft – the one that netted him a signing bonus in the neighborhood of $23 million – due to a fishing trip planned on the same day. That’s hardcore. Now, ESPN sending a camera crew with him on said trip may have been a little overboard, but we won’t throw stones.
No word on if “Outdoors Ohio” will feature any of the construction that I continually have to dodge every time I leave my office downtown. I’d sure love to see a feature on the same guys that spent the last three years digging up the same stretch of two-lane street. That would be captivating.

Not sure Spencer reads this site anymore, but if he does, he’s gonna LOVE this post. The only thing that would make that picture better than it is would be if the shirt said Cleveland Browns rather than Wisconsin.
