Two Things To Look Forward To

1) Cleveland Browns football
2) Madden 2009

And thanks to a post at Operation Sports, we have both in a screen grab of what the Cleveland Browns stadium will look like in the upcoming version.

As DawgsbyNature points out, given the angle at which we’re viewing the stadium, we should technically be seeing the lake in the background.  I’ve honestly never been on the backside of the stadium, so maybe the view is from the lake?  Either way, we’ve sure come a long way from the Tecmo days – even though those are still an absolute blast to play.  Ready…set…

    haha yea that is definitely not a view from the lake, there shouldn’t be a road there. Not that that matters in any way though, it still looks cool which I’m sure is what they were going for.

    And since I was pretty confident that the Indians were going to be good going into this year, I am nervous as shit for the Browns season. Sure they should be better, but things change in the NFL yearly. So many things have to happen for a team to be good. What if there are injuries. What if Derek Anderson sucks. What if Jamal Lewis sucks. Ahh I am going crazy just thinking about it

    Pretty, though.

    They’ve turned the stadium 90 degrees, moved a river where the road is, and knocked the Science Center back down for a parking lot.

    I do miss that old parking lot, but it useless when I needed to see a film about squids projected onto humongous curved walls.

    If you check out the other stadiums from that site every one of them has the same road, with the same cars in front of the stadium.

    is that supposed to be the terminal tower in the background? last i remembered, it’s not a 19 story building… (/nitpick)

    the browns will WITHOUT QUESTION be a better football team this season than they were last, but that may not mean a better record. the schedule is brutal, absolutely brutal (afc south and nfc east, yikes), but that is true for the whole north, which may mean that a 9-7 record could get the job done.
