Texas Tech Contest Winner Now on Team?

Not Cleveland related at all, but definitely worth discussing.

Texas Tech’s situation at place-kicker has evolved from a concern to a source of frustration. Now, it seems as if it has taken an unexpected, crazy twist.

Having already gone through two kickers – who have combined to miss six PATs and half of their field-goal attempts – the sixth-ranked Red Raiders are now seriously considering giving Matt Williams a shot against No. 18 Kansas this weekend. [...]

Williams is a Tarleton State transfer student who won a month of free rent at the Tech/UMass game several weeks ago by kicking a 30-yard field goal. After his successful try, Williams was walking back to his seat when he was flagged down.

Any contests that you guys think we should hold up here?  Water balloon toss winner gets to be a wide receiver?  Dunk tank winner turned bullpen arm?  Winner of the game Operation gets to be on the medical staff?

    We should break someone’s arm like what happened in “Rookie of the Year,” and hope the tendon heals too tightly. As a result that person would have a cannon of an arm. At that point as long as they have somewhat average vision they would already have a leg up on Derek Anderson.
    Last time I checked the Indians needed a closer as well. Kill two birds with one stone.

    I was thinking a Fantasy Football league for RAC’s job. He’s going to lose it at the end of the year at any rate, so the Browns should start this up now.

    Off-topic, but Buckeye-related…. just dawned on me today that is Oregon State wins out they will win the Pac-10 because of the H2H win over USC. Not likely, but they do not play any ranked teams from here out. Just one less potential hurdle to the national title…
