Open Thread: Browns vs Houston Texans

Not too much time to provide a long opener, folks.  Quick hits: Brady’s finger is appartently “okay” enough for him to suit up.  Thankfully, Kellen Winslow will also be active to provide Quinn with another target.  In fact, only notable inactives are Shaun Smith and Travis Daniels, meaning that all of the guys we talked about here and here are good to go.

Three point favorites at home, which means that Vegas thinks this one is pre-tay even.  Hopefully, after the 4:15 PM mark, we can talk about how this win was actually a win…instead of, you know… last weeks final score.  Oh, and here’s to a week of dramaless Browns talk too!  Wishful thinking, I know.  The OBR’s Brian Tarcy thinks we pull it out by one…

    And Brandon McDonald gets tooled by Walter for a touchdown on 3rd and 6. That first drive could have gone better. Bad tackling… no QB pressure and another time that McDonald gets burned for a touchdown.

    On top of that, we are forced to listen to inane TV commentator banter about how Romeo added a “tackling circuit” to his practices this week due to last week’s tackling debacle in Buffalo. Really? A tackling circuit?

    They’re getting picked apart by Sage Rosenfels, no – not Dan Marino, John Elway, Brett Favre, or even Bernie Kosar – SAGE ROSENFELS, for cryin’ out loud !! Worst defense in the history of mankind. When you can’t get off the field against Sage Rosenfels and company, it’s time to blow this thing up and start over. Goodbye Romeo, goodbye 3-4, goodbye pretty much everybody on that side of the ball save for #92.

    Maybe this drive will get some points on the board and give the “defense” a much needed rest-

    Does anyone believe that Braylon has ONLY dropped 15 passes this season. I can think of at least 3 in each game

    apparently the NFL only counts ones that hit both hands and stays for 2 seconds… I can think of atleast 25.

    I know it wouldn’t happen b/c of the Union, but I’d love to see him get fined for each drop… just like a fine for each missed tackle.

    Goodbye, Braylon ! Apparently, 5 Hour Energy doesn’t help you catch the ball. Maybe that acting career you want isn’t that far away. That ball was slightly behind him, but definitely catchable.

    Brian Sipe should come back and rip that #17 jersey right off Braylon’s back. Maybe he could switch to #0, more befitting of his contribution this year-

    DA sucks like always, and putting him was pure ignorance. RAC is a joke. Browns franchise is in disarray. I so much don’t want to watch them the rest of the year. Only hope I can stick to it for once.

    This team is an embarrassment to the city and to themselves. They quit on plays and play with absolutely NO passion.

    I don’t understand why doughboy felt compelled to pull BQ. Yes, he threw a couple of really bad passes, but that is going to happen. It’s not like DA didn’t deserve to get demoted in the first place.

    I wasn’t on the Fire Crennel bandwagon until today. Yes we want to win games, but we had already decided that only a miracle would save the season BEFORE we put Quinn in against Denver. We want to know what the kid has got before the season is over and we have to pay Anderson a 5 Million bonus! Why not leave Quinn in the game? If he struggles, then he struggles and hopefully gets better!
