While We’re Waiting…
December 15, 2008Grady Sizemore and a Mid-Summer Classic
December 15, 2008A WFNY Congratulations goes out to Oklahoma Sooner quarterback Sam Bradford. Bradford took home the 2008 Heisman Trophy – the award that goes to the best player in a given college football season.
Congratulations on leading an offense to at least 60 points in five straight games.
Congratulations on leading the nation in touchdown passes, efficiency, and completions of at least 25 yards or more.
But most of all…
Congratulations on beating out Florida’s Tim Tebow and preserving Archie Griffin as the only back-to-back Heisman winner in the history of the award. Great season, Sam. Just don’t do it again!

YES!!!
hahaha
I hadn’t really noticed but when I saw the three QBs walking together into the ceremony I couldn’t help but notice how much bigger Tebow is than the other two. I don’t like the guy because he’s so goody-goody, but man he’s a tank.
I thought the same the year that Quinn and Troy Smith were standing next to each other. BQ dwarfed Smith. It was pretty crazy.
Tebow is the best player in college football.

Nope, it’s Sam Bradford. Can’t wait to see Tebow fail as a pro.
I didn’t say anything with him failing as a pro, but he is still better than Bradford and the Arena Football Big 12.
My thoughts exactly. While I can’t explain my disdain for Tebow since he’s a good guy, I couldn’t help but root for anyone but him. I love Archie and dread the day someone takes a place next to him in the 2x Heisman category.
remember when Archie Griffin won the heisman and wasn’t even the MVP of his own team? That would be OSU QB and Big Ten MVP Cornelius Greene in ’75 🙂
