Counting Down the Days…
December 15, 2008While We’re Waiting…
December 16, 2008Well, here we are. The third Monday Night Football game of this wonderful season. We better enjoy it as the league may not give us another one for about 10 seasons after the shear collapse that the Browns provided. We already broke down what has to happen for the Browns to win, and you can tell by our tone that our hopes are not exactly sky high.
Kellen Winslow will be out again. No Jerome Harrison either. Ken Dorsey will be under center with Bruce Gradkowski making the “Oh, that had to hurt” face on the sidelines. Have I mentioned that we haven’t scored a touchdown in three weeks?
The Browns are giving up an average of 148.5 yards per game on the ground. Eagles running back Brian Westbrook is averaging 121 all by himself over the past two games. If we want to play the comparison game, though, the Eagles tied the Bengals. We beat the Bengals. Thus, we should beat the Eagles. Right? Right? Anyone?
TKNK’s for the evening (subject to alterations):
– “Expectations” = 1
– “Second team ever…not make the playoffs” = 1
– Any reference to Phil Savage’s infamous email = 1
– Any reference to Romeo Crennel’s pink slip = 2
– Any reference to “Waiting For Next Year” = 10

I know it doesn’t matter, but where are the throws to Braylon in the second half? Not to say we can forget the Braylon criticism, but dude did make some plays in the first half, right? The game is still over and all, but I don’t want to let this staff off the hook because all the QB’s are hurt.
Or, as my sister just texted me, still no offensive touchdown
Thanks TK… tried the college guy… tried the coordinator… now they need to find a YOUNG coordinator who is tough as nails.
My solution is quite simple. Keep Savage, but make his responsibility strictly the draft.
Bring in Marty to be the GM/President.
Don’t allow the Niners to sign Singletary, sign Mike Singletary and sign Ron Rivera (former teammate of Singletary in Chicago) as the defensive co. That gives you a definite personality of an organization.
Lerner’s hand has got to be trembling as it hovers over the red button. Just do it Randy, so we can get started early on the search. Look at is as a Christmas present to the people of the city of Cleveland.
Another 3 hours well spent. Romeo Must Go!!! Cavs on Wednesday. Cavs on Wednesday.
Side note – Paul Pierce looks like he got hurt in today’s game. He didn’t come back in a wheelchair, but still it could make somewhat of an impact on the season.
hey, just wondering… what does nk mean? Also, is it just me or does it seem that like whenever browns fans want something to happen, and it does, it never works out like it should. Nobody can lie about the fact that we all wanted Romeo as our coach after the patriots third super bowl. Looking into the future, I really don’t know who the browns should go after this offseason. At least im not a bengals fan though… thank the lord.
btw I love this web site and I am so glad it is back up…
NK means drink. Whenever tony mentions Brett or the jets, makes a stupid joke, etc; you take a drink. We developed this during the blowout by the giants during preseason MNF.
Not only did the Browns like Romeo, everyone in the country liked the pick. It is just that nothing works out….EVER.
“Not only did the Browns like Romeo, everyone in the country liked the pick.”

Not everyone. For example, plenty of folks questioned why he had never had a HC job at his advanced age and wondered whether the Pats’ defense was Romeo’s work or Bill’s.
