LeBron James Listed as Probable Against Kings

One of the bigger concerns for tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings was if LeBron James would be able to suit up after enduring a knee injury last night.

He’s reportedly listed as “probable” for the game, but hope is that he can rest for much of the second half if the Cavaliers can provide enough of a cushion.

“Probable”.. sure. You better believe he’s going for triple-double #4 tonight.

I see him not playing this game if he isn’t 100%. Cavs need health this late, and they will not risk their best player getting hurt anymore, so if there is any indication he is not perfect, then I see him sitting this one out. Besides, it’s the Kings

Hopefully *probable* for the 4th quarter…

  • Lars

Cavs stink all quarter until the last few minutes and somehow are in the game…

    plus there’s still 3 more.

16 points already in the first quarter for LeBron. He good.

  • Eli

First the Clippers and now the Kings? We better hope for a 4th quarter like we saw in LA or we are done for.

What the heck is with us not showing up against weak teams? I know we’re banged up and that West is out, but even Mo is no where to be found.

    1. We’re tired.

    2. The officiating in this game is horrible.

    3. The Kings were draining threes like madmen earlier in the game- just chucking the ball up. Tough to defend against that.

  • Eli

I’ll give them that. 29 is ALOT of three point attempts and 45% is a pretty damn nice team percentage.

Lets just keep hoping on pulling this out.

  • Graham Hall

    OVERTIMEEEEEEEEEEE

Good god, man. This will be forever remembered as the 2009 Roadtrip of Neverending Miracles.

Great game, great win.. I’ll probably be laying in bed for the next three hours, wide awake, after pacing around so much. lol.

@deep 13: Yes, the rain of threes from Sacramento in the first half was hard to keep up with, and the officiating consistently favored the home team. What’s more, Mo looked outplayed in this one on several fronts and never really found his shot. Fortunately, the near-perfect three-point percentage from the Kings could not be maintained all game, and the Cavs adjusted in time. They went away from Mo and, instead, Sasha dropped a couple of MOAB’s in the final minutes. As for LeBron, he simply swallowed the opposition like some kind of famished Great White swimming into a fuming carcass. Even when he was missing–as he did on three consecutive threes–it served the team well by starving the clock and leaving the Kings with a hit-a-three-or-lose proposition at the end.

Incidentally, I believe Kobe has a real killer instinct and a jump shot that is unrivaled, but I have never seen Kobe dominate all aspects of the game as LeBron did in Sacramento tonight.
