All I Need To Know I Learned From The Boston Celtics
April 29, 2009While We’re Waiting… KG, Maualuga, and Alex Mack to Start Your Day
April 30, 2009Very quietly, Travis Hafner seemed to be having a nice start and showed no signs of injury thus far. Or so we thought.
It’s just been announced that Pronk is headed to the disabled list with soreness and fatigue in his surgically repaired shoulder.
Left-handed reliever Rich Rundles has been called up for tonight’s game only to take Hafner’s spot, but expect OF David Dellucci to be activated from his rehab stint for the weekend series in Detroit. Manager Eric Wedge also alluded too a couple of roster moves being made for the trip to Detroit.
Stay tuned.

wonderful
Sounds like scar tissue. That’s not something that goes away real easily. Sigh.
And Miller began his finger reconstruction. That fantasy baseball league’s division names are really shaking out…
“Good god… Is that David Delluci’s music?!”
I’d rather see Aubrey or LaPorta who are absolutely killing the ball in Columbus….
So….we are already carrying 13 pitchers, but when a hitter gets hurt, we call up another pitcher. Makes sense. Waiting For Next Year…when we’ll carry 16 pitchers and 9 position players!
Eric Snow’s knee think’s Hafner’s shoulder will be good to go in a few days.
Hafner’s shoulder will take its place with Brad Daugherty’s back and LeCharles Bentley’s knee. His contract is going to prevent this team from contending for the next few years.
@ boomhauertjs – dang… I couldn’t think of some other catastrophic CLE sports injuries…
I was going to go with Wayne Garland’s shoulder but thought that might’ve been to obscure…..
the move w/ Rundles makes sense for today. The bullpen was taxed yesterday so a fresh arm will do us ok. The bench has been short for too long though, we need some bats at the end of the bench.
If they make moves (plural) before the Tigers series, does Crowe stay with the team? He hasn’t seized the position like Grady did when he was given the chance.
You know, I was just saying to myself last night that this team really needs Delucci back in the line up. Veteran leadership, solid at bats, clutch… ok, I can’t even continue this nonsense.
