The first Saturday of May is always one of the best sports spectacles of the calendar year and today looks to be no different. Starting off at 3:40 PM the Cleveland Indians take on the Detroit Tigers in game 2 of their three game series. The Indians managed to pull of a 6-5 victory last night thanks to the 4-5 performance from recent call-up David Dellucci.
Next up this evening is the 5:30 post time for the Kentucky Derby. The favorite I Want Revenge was scratched earlier this morning, leaving Dunkirk and Pioneer of the Nile as the two best remaining horses. These two both have 4-1 odds to win it, and Friesan Fire at 5-1 odds is the only other horse with odds better than 10-1. Who will be the next Big Brown or Barbaro in 2009?
The last big thing on the agenda for this evening is the epic finale of the fantastic series between the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics. The series has had just about everything thus far, and there are a ton of storylines heading into tonight’s 8:05 start time at the Garden. The Celtics should have the edge because of the home-court, but the Bulls are on a high after their triple-overtime victory in Chicago to force the game 7.
