Other NBA teams are starting to make moves. Richard Jefferson to San Antonio. The Wizards are getting Mike Miller and Randy Foye, for the #5 pick and some change. Is anything in the works in Cleveland? Besides this I mean. (How is this a story?) Mary Schmitt Boyer/Plain Dealer

Terry Pluto offers up his take on the Cavs draft options, and tucked away is this nugget- “In other news, Ferry has talked to Ben Wallace. All Ferry would say is that he planned to talk to Wallace again about his future. While Wallace told reporters he planned to retire, he has been at the training facility working out almost daily since the end of the season.” (I don’t think guys that are planning to walk away from $14 million and retire come to daily workouts.) Great take on Wedge and the Indians from The Diatribe- “I’m not going to pretend to know how to handle a pitching staff, but if the same guy is pulling the levers in the bullpen over a prolonged stretch and the pulling of those levers continually results in an explosion, isn’t there something to be questioned about the lever-puller, particularly when other teams are able to cobble together effective bullpens with cast-offs and young arms? I know that it’s probably unfair to simply say that Wedge is consistently pulling the wrong lever when it’s up to the players to execute, but unfortunately Wedge’s track record of handling usage for players (both pitchers and non-pitchers) has come under fire with the flame getting ever hotter this year.” Paul Cousineau/The Diatribe

Is this really an option for us? “That means there’s a possibility, however remote, that Cleveland could buy another team’s pick and move up in the first round of the NBA Draft on Thurs-day night. The Cavaliers can pay up to $3 million to acquire another club’s pick, and a number of financially strapped organizations will probably be willing to consider that offer.” Rick Noland/Medina Gazette

Taylor Graham to become a Buckeye. “Taylor Graham gives the class of 2010 a quarterback. At 6-4, he has the physical tools, much like his father did and he chose the Buckeyes over UCLA, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Iowa and Michigan State among other schools.” Eleven Warriors

Jefferson to the Spurs is huge. If they’re healthy they’re deadly. Now with Jefferson! Look out L.A. and rest of NBA.
The Wiz are going to be much tougher with Miller and Foye, though they’ll still stink on defense.
Mike Miller bringing toughness? Here I thought he just brought two left feet.
Blah, for some reason I was thinking Brad Miller. Nothing to see here, move along folks.
How do the Cavs not trade Wallace, JJ and Sasha to get Jefferson? Hes like the best meat on the market and was like given away!
Here’s hoping the Cavs move up by buying another teams pick. 2 first round picks would be sweet, wouldn’t it?
Windhorst was just on WKNR and he said there were deals in place that if Ferry pulls the trigger could get the cavs into the top 6 picks.
