Double Dose of Double-A: Akron Aeros Bi-Monthly Review 8/9/09
August 9, 2009While We’re Waiting… Air Max LeBron VII, Delonte’s Lyrics, and Comparing Stallworth/Vick
August 10, 2009The World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational concludes today at Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH. Northern Ireland native Padraig Harrington enters the day three strokes up on Tiger Woods at -10 under through three rounds of gold. The final pairing tees off at 2:00 p.m. and after taking in a few Sundays at Firetone in my day, it is quite an event to keep track of throughout the afternoon.
The Indians also look for yet another series victory today against the Sox. Game time is at 2:05 p.m. with lefty David Huff (5-6, 6.81 ERA) facing off against Chicago’s Jose Contreras (4-10, 4.95 ERA). The Hall of Fame game also is tonight at 8:00 p.m. with the Buffalo Bills playing against the Tennessee Titans at Fawcett Stadium in Canton.
As always, we are here at Waiting For Next Year to enjoy the deep enjoyment of the dog days of summer in Cleveland sports world. Leave your comments and thoughts of this blistering Sunday in the comments.

Harrington needs to get something going if he’s going to make this interesting. He’s playing solid golf, Tiger’s just killing it so far
Woods had an eagle and three birdies on the front nine.. He would.
so far today ( 8th inning):
Wyatt Toregas – 2 for 3, 3 RBI’s
Gotta love the streak we’ve been on as soon as we traded everyone away
“Northern Ireland native Padraig Harrington”?? He’s from Dublin, Ireland. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom.
And we’re back to all square in the golf and the Tribe is looking good. Glorious Sunday
Steptoe out for the year.
Tiger has just played phenomenally lately and in WGC’s in general. Now 15 for 30 at WGC’s career. 50%, thats double his career win% of 25%, and 4 times that of 2nd place career at 12% win%. He’s Just incredible.
Good to see harrington finally playing well too.
