I’ll take backhanded compliments for $500, Alex: “Don’t call him the Big Rip-off: Shaquille O’Neal says ex-teammate Steve Nash’s idea for a TV show was “slightly different” from “Shaq VS.” […] O’Neal said Saturday that Nash’s idea was about training with other athletes, not competing against them. O’Neal also noted that Nash is an executive producer on his ABC show. Says O’Neal: “He’s the Canadian Aaron Spelling, and I’m the black Spielberg.” [AP/Arizona Central]

If you think the Browns’ QB situation is a trainwreck… “Three quarterbacks, though? Two of the three being freshman? Sure, some are more runners than throwers and all that, but continuity, rhythm and all those things still matter. Moreso, it may be Western Michigan, but the [Michigan] Wolverines haven’t earned the right to take anyone lightly (or use games at experiments or tryouts for the starting QB job).” [Legend of Cecilio Guante]

A solid list of the best players wearing each number in each major sport today. Only two Clevelanders (can you guess which ones?) got the nod up front, but plenty players were honorable mentions! [Rumors and Rants]

What does Joe Posnanski think of this year’s Kansas City Royals team? Emotion aside… [Joe Posnanski/JoeBlog]

Every silver linings got a touch of gray. I will get by… “It’s worth a look at what the Browns first pre-season opponent did to the Bills on Saturday: that is, absolutely destroyed them. In building a 24-0 halftime lead, the Green Bay defense forced FOUR first-half turnovers, completely shutting down a Buffalo offense that had worked “to near perfection” against the Bears the week before. Peter King said today that the best team in the first two weeks looks to be the Packers. All of which, of course, makes Brady Quinn’s performance in last week’s opener all the more impressive.” [Cleveland Frowns]

Re: that list – one time I ate at Chipotle on High Street by the Newport and Nick Mangold was there too. Therefore he deserves mention on that list and approve of his placement.
Well, considering Michigan basically had NO quarterbacks last year, I’ll take anything I can get.
Was that Chipotle one of the first in the country? I remember eating there as far back as 1998. Anyone know?
Maybe the NCAA will let them play with 2 footballs at once so that they can utilize each unique skill set?
Mark,
I’m an architect for Chipotle. It was not one of the first in the country, but it was definitely one of the first in Ohio.
How in the world can that list have all of those other Browns, and not have Big ‘ol #92 on there???? At least as honorable mention?
I think the first chipotle was in colorado somewhere.
Indeed. It was in Denver.
i love chipotle, the one in kent is pretty old right?
