While We’re Waiting… Mo and Shaq, Browns Lack Talent, and More on D.A.
October 2, 2009The Browns Will Win If…
October 2, 2009Between the bright yellow banner to the left and Scott’s comments about my love of Lance Armstrong, you may have noticed that I will be running the New York City Marathon on Nov 1st raising funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. I’m writing this today because October 2nd is LIVESTRONG day – a day that thousands of people across the world make their voices heard in the fight against cancer. This post is one of the ways that I am making my voice heard.
Since the site’s inception I’ve found this to be a truly fantastic place to come and discuss sports with people who share the same passion for Cleveland sports that I do. I come to you all because whether we acknowledge it or not, this is a tight knit community. I hope that this community can maybe come a little closer and accomplish something positive together. We all allude to the suffering that we endure as Cleveland sports fans; now we can band together and take a stand against the suffering that millions around the world endure every year.
Please, if you can, click on this link and leave a donation to the Foundation. Your gift will go to help fund cancer research, survivorship advocacy, and family outreach. Any amount, regardless of how small, will go to fight a disease that will effect us all one way or another – individually or through a family member or friend. To those of you who have donated already I say thank you for your support. It’s truly appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
Cheers,
Denny Mayo
