Open Thread: Browns vs. Steelers
December 10, 2009Browns Beat the Steelers!

Hey, you. Guy wearing a jersey without a shirt underneith… “No one wants to see your guns. No one wants to see your tribal tats. Or how well you fill out the jersey. You’re not playing in a pickup game. You’re not going to impress anyone with your biceps. And if you’re not in shape? No one wants to see your arm fat folded over the fabric, or how the jersey accentuates your stomach.
And I’m not just saying this because as a kid in CYO I wore an undershirt to hide my toothpick arms. And I’m not saying this because I look absolutely ridiculous in a jersey these days thanks to my gut. It’s just not a good look, especially when you raise your arms in triumph over a LeBron dunk and your neighbor is subjected to whatever romantic smells emanate from your pits.” [’64 and Counting]

Chad never seizes to amaze… “Oh boy. If NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell thought Chad Ochocinco’s name changing days were over, he has another thing coming. Ochocinco announced on his live USTREAM broadcast Sunday morning that he will be legally changing his last name to “Hachi Go” next season. “Hachi Go” is Japanese for 8 – 5.” [Dugout Sports Show]

For the sad Wizards fans out there… “I offer the Wizards this idea: If LeBron stays in the dunk contest, why wouldn’t the Wizards sign James White to a 10-day contract, or even for the full year, for the sole purpose of Flight White beating LeBron in the dunk contest? Wouldn’t that be the kind of thing that could save an entire season in Washington?” [Cavs the Blog]

That’s because they’re inexpensive… “For the first time in a long time the Cleveland Indians were participants and not just spectators in the Rule 5 Draft. Going into yesterday’s draft the Indians had not selected a player in the Rule 5 Draft since right-hander Neomar Flores from the Astros in the Triple-A phase of the 2004 Draft, and the last player they took in the Major League phase was infielder Travis Chapman seven years ago in the 2002 Draft. […] The big pickup in the Major League phase was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Hector Ambriz who is an interesting arm they were able to scoop up out of the Arizona Diamondbacks system. He throws a fastball that sits at 90-94 MPH and has touched 95 MPH, and complements it with a really good splitter which is considered his out pitch.” [Tony Lastoria]

Hey Chad – GET A LIFE
Sincerely,
people with real last names
That Wizards thing was hilarious
i do have big guns. i do wear my jersey with no shirt underneath. i do look good in it. people are impressed. no im not playin a pick-up game, but i might later. i have tattoos from my service years visiting thailand, tokyo, and okinawa and people want to see them. (this writer sounds like a hater). i cant wait to get a cleveland sports tattoo on my calf. i seen an all bengals mural on this guys calf here in myrtle beach…it was really nice.
I love Ochocinco – what a free spirit that guy is. On some level you have to appreciate his antics
I can’t stand the guys at The Q that are wearing the shirtless jersey when it’s winter outside. I mean come on guy, you really couldn’t find a shirt?
