Stan Edwards: Cleveland Hates Braylon ‘Cause He’s From Michigan
January 23, 2010Cavs Preview Game #45: Thunder at Cavs
January 23, 2010Even if you are a casual college hoops fan, this is definitely an exciting game to watch with some of the most dominant players in the college game. The Buckeyes have been rolling since the return of Evan Turner just over two weeks ago. Turner has been getting a ton of publicity lately in a push for national player of the year as well as cementing his status as a consensus top 5 draft pick this summer. This is their last non-conference came of the season and it is an incredibly challenging task for the Buckeyes.
Border foe West Virginia has an elite team this year under a man with extensive Ohio ties, Bob Huggins. Evan Turner vs. Devin Ebanks is a marquee matchup with two similarly styled players that NBA scouts are extremely high on. It is a day jam packed with college basketball and this is arguably the best game of the day. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 on CBS which will make it a nice hoops lead in to tonight’s LBJ-Durant showdown.

WVU fans chanting not so nice things every time Turner touches the ball…don’t be so cynical, kids
D is hardly “lockdown” early, and offense looks disjointed–fortunately shots are falling. Better tighten up, cuz the ‘eers won’t stay this off for too long.
WVU hitting threes against zone – comparable to Hummel in the first half against OSU zone
KSU just killed Akron. I was there, no big deal.
OSU perimeter defense = nonexistent
Yea OSU blew that one for sure thanks to horrible perimeter defense. The Buckeyes are talented with Turner, Buford, Lighty, Diebler and Big D in the middle but I don’t know if they’ll be able to put it together in the tournament. Ya never know tho Turner is sick, I love to watch him play. NBA look out!
