The Browns will be meeting with my man-crush Eric Berry on April 8th. “Currently, the Browns haven’t scheduled a private workout with Berry — which can only be done at a player’s school or in their hometown — because they felt they had a good enough handle on his physical skills, spokeswoman Ashley Kerns said. During visits to a team, players are permitted to interview and take physicals. If the Browns still want a private workout, they’ll schedule it after the visit.” [MKC, Plain Dealer]

It’s as though, the TV station, was created… for him!!! “Um, right. Are you thinking about anyone specific here? Wasn’t he bad enough when there weren’t cameras following him around? Also, even if players aren’t more focused on being on HBO than on getting ready to play football, what if they’re even a little bit less focused on football because of the cameras? I love a good look at “down the depth chart guys” as much as the next guy, but…” [Cleveland Frowns]

(A snide comment about Laffy Taffy goes here.) “The other, more surprising development is Aaron Laffey heading to the bullpen. Based off spring performance, Laffey (1-1, 3.07 ERA in 14 2/3 innings) seemed to have a slight leg up on David Huff for a starting job, and the Indians are already expected to carry two lefties in the ‘pen in Rafael Perez and Tony Sipp.” [Castroturf]

LZ Granderson weighs in on new Browns LB Scott Fujita and his veritable cornucopia of charitable causes. [ESPN.com]

Speaking of charitable causes, and because WFNY is family and family does good for family in need, head on over to young Jayden Olmstead’s COTA donations page and consider helping him out. Jayden is a 15 month old Browns fan who lives in Kansas with his folks, one of whom is stationed there with the Army. Jayden is in need of a liver transplant, and his family needs assistance with some of the ancillary expenses that are involved with his surgery. [Children’s Organ Transplant Association]

Chicken Fujitas?
Josh took the food out of my mouth.
I would’ve went with Fujitas as well…
Also, I just tweeted it this morning, Scout.com’s latest mock has the Browns getting Berry at 1.7 and Sergio Kindle at 2.6…
Thatd be one heck of a first “day.”
OR – FOODjita. Really though, I just liked the out of place use of “my inability to make a Fujita food reference” when there was one sitting there, so obviously.
fujita apple?
Scott i think that right there would make my day! (Berry then Kindle)
I would have went with Fujita fajitas though, though it sounds somewhat cannibalistic….
