Da Clip Show: Keeping an Eye on the Tribe’s AAA Squad – 4/27/10
April 27, 2010While We’re Waiting… Hardesty’s Role, Fausto’s Turnaround, and OSU’s NFL Draftees
April 28, 2010A lot is being made about the Cavaliers recent inability to close out a series at home. Thankfully, LeBron James was quick to point out during his pregame interview that the team really has not had a lot of chances to close out at home due to sweeping their first two opponents last season.
James’ elbow has been deemed “ready.” Both he and Coach Brown focused a lot of their pregame expectations on transition defense and staying aggressive throughout the entire game.
Derrick Rose and Luol Deng are both considered healthy. Rose did acknowledge treatment to his ankle during this morning’s shootaround, but said that the swelling has subsided.
Cavs are favored by 13 points tonight. At this rate, I’m willing to assume that fans will be alright with a one-point win. You know, if you take away all of the mid-game heart attacks and all…
Follow along in the comments, folks. For those looking to live chat – feel free to head over to FoxSportsOhio’s chat with Zach Jackson and company. I’ll be occasionally dropping in via Twitter.
With all of that said… Go Cavs!

Here’s your flowchart:
Cavs win series, will have at least half a week off to heal. —–> WE PANIC
Well, I guess we know which body part Glen Davis will be aiming for come Saturday…
nothing against the messenger…But it’s not on their website, even on their twitter feeds. And you heard and posted it while most players were still on the floor.
it was actually more like 10-15 minutes after, but i’m staying out of this…
Espn news just showed lebron interview with aldridge. Lbj had mri today. Nothing structurally wrong. Said its been bothering him for 3 weeks. Turn on your damn tv roosevelt!
ESPN is omniscient.
Resistance is futile.
Good stuff on Fox Sports from Mike Brown…as he describes his constant confusion in the closing seconds.
I have to say that if the Cavs keep playing like they just don’t give a crap, Boston’s going to beat them. I’m not trying to be a Panicky Pete; it’s just the facts. If they seriously let a Bulls team with roughly 1.5 good players hang around in four of five games, what is going to happen against a team with some actual talent and playoff experience?
Sunday was the only time in this series the Cavs honestly looked like they cared at all, and even that took them two quarters to get going.
Scott, with some much needed humor:
Shaq and LeBron James will be speaking post game – a good sign for those worried that LeBron would have a post-game amputation… #Cavs
Says the guy with “Maim” in his name…
Remember when Mr. Potatohead and Barry Bonds begot a love child and he got a job coaching in the NBA?
When you play out of desperation .. you tend to lose more then you win simply by making more mistakes then usual. We HAVE to win a championship before Lebron leaves … err I mean … to keep him here … I mean we have to win now. WIN WIN WIN!
get it?
Full blown panic on my part. Typical.
LeBron looked like 60 percent of himself out there, despite his near triple-double. He didn’t have the touted “look” in his eyes. The bum elbow has got to be dogging him. We just have to hope the few days of rest will get him back in shape. I don’t know if we can rely on Jamison to be our number one scorer every night against the Celtics.
@DP — nah, we’ll beat the loathsome celtics because we hate them. im hoping we’ll beat the magic because we fear them. in either case, team should be able to muster the requisite intensity that was lacking this series. fingers crossed.
@WFNYScott “I’m not concerned – Cleveland fans have nothing to be worried about.”
KG and big cry baby set bulls eye on LBJ’s elbow, and pierce practices is dives and crying
Kenny Smith likes the Celtics chances.
Surprising.
@bob dobiliana, had had HAD an MRI. not will have. POW! (Sound of messanger getting shot)
@ typo OMG HE HAD THREE MRIs?!
LeBron likes to be dramatic, hoping his arm is fine. Let’s go Cavs. Revenge time.
@S-Dub – I will choose to ignore that and panic anyways.
The only thing that would give me hope is if LeBron is playing possum.
But, that wouldn’t explain the lack of any kind of killer instinct on the Cavs’ part. Unless they’re saving it for Boston and Orlando…
@denny. Yes.3 MRIs I believe lebron said that in the postgame
