Hey Let’s All Be Twitter Buddies

Twitter can be a very useful tool. I enjoy it to gather information about sports, politics, news, science, and also jokes (mostly jokes). It’s also a great way to interact. I realize that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s a tool that a lot of folks that are part of this community use.

With that in mind, I thought it would be good to let folks leave their Twitter handles in the comments on a post in order to further the interaction between folks. I know this isn’t going to be for everyone, but hey – it’s a slow day.

All of the writers here on the site have Twitter handles, which you can find listed at the bottom of the page on the left. From there, let’s all interact more or something – at the very least we can all tell each other jokes when they don’t have to do with sports.

Also worth checking out: our outdated Cleveland sports twitter list.

According to reports, LeBron and Bosh to Chicago is a done deal. The sportsbook.com odds of Chicago landing LeBron went from 1/1 this morning to 1/5 this afternoon.

@ Rut – it’s a report, yes. It’s also anonymous (which is understandable to avoid tampering), but also claims that Chicago will sign both Bosh and LeBron – which they can’t do if both players want max deals. The books are likely just reacting to the report. We can all talk about it tmw or something.

chicago can sign both players if they can workout sign-n-trade deals for both players (doubt either will sign for less $$$ if they don’t have to).

that’s why you see BW claiming that teams clearing space is much ado about nothing. it helps as teams can get the trade exemption and can take back whichever players/picks they deem the best for their situation, but it’s not wholly necessary (see Dallas’ interest)

    @ Denny,

I was under the impression the Heinrich trade would clear up enough space for two max deals. I could be wrong.

@ Rut – they’re close, but not quite there. Everyone ran out there quickly to announce they had the money. I’m pretty sure they’re about a million short.

Hell, I’ll make a post about this so that we don’t muddle my awesome Twitter idea. It’ll be up by 5:30.

  • mgbode

@19 – that was the initial report. thing is, it was wrong (BW pointed this out).

Bulls have ~$30mil clear. They need $33mil to support 2 max deals (starting at $16.5mil each).

Knicks have $34mil clear (only team with more than Chicago if you include Wade’s hold with Miami)

pretty good site, haven’t updated for Hinrich yet, but just delete $9mil

and, of course, it will depend on where the salary cap line ends up (predictions anywhere from $52-$55 mil right now)
