Bengals Think Eric Wright is “One of the Better Corners”
September 29, 2010While We’re Waiting… Cavs/Heat Tickets, MLB Struggles, and Browns Staff Changes
September 30, 2010Here are a few things about this Sunday’s game you may not know.
First, The Ohio State Marching Band will be performing the National Anthem, as well as performing Script I at halftime. Cleveland fans who haven’t made the trip to Columbus to the Shoe will be in for a treat.
The Browns are using honorary ‘alumni captains this year to handle the coin toss. This week Dub Jones and Ken Gorgal are handling those duties. Jones was a RB for the Browns from 1948-1955. He was part of 3 NFL Championship teams in Cleveland. Gorgal spent 3 seasons with the Browns (1950, 1953-54) as a defensive back. He was also part of 2 championship seasons in Cleveland.
The Browns are joining with the rest of the league to help raise awareness for breast cancer research, and as such will have pink ribbons painted on the field and most certainly players will show their support with various pink items on their uniforms. (One would think that Ocho Cinco would wear the pink jersey all the time if allowed.)
As with every game this season, you can get tickets through WFNY Tickets, your secondary market ticket aggregate. Right now there are 30 seats under $35 available. If you want to sit in the center of the action, there are 34 seats in the upper deck center currently under $75.

What is this Script I you speak of? Is it in honor of the Cleveland Indians’ holiday/weekend caps of yore?
@DP – it’s understandable that you try to block everything about the Buckeyes out of your head. if I was a wolverine fan the last decade I would also try to distance myself from anything related to “The Game” as well (even pregame).
it also has to be frustrating that a Michigan alum is closer to winning a national championship than the wolverines using the old Michigan blueprint for football success (that UM itself thought was outdated and decided to hire Roddy to replace). and, he’s even doing it while wearing a color pretty darn close to scarlet (stanford cardinal to ohio state scarlet is near identical).
