On Choo’s Production and Earning Potential: a Power-Outage?
September 2, 2010While We’re Waiting… Browns Cuts, Bernie’s Ticket, and NCAA Predictions
September 3, 2010Two games with completely different meanings tonight. The Browns (and I use that term loosely) take on the Chicago Bears in their final preseason game. While this game is often little else than a fight for roster spots 50-53, at least we are told the rookies will play a little more than usual tonight in order to gain reps against other competition.
For Ohio State this one counts. No more Scarlett and Gray scrimmages or weird scoring systems to determine if the offense or defense ‘won’. The scoreboard will take care of that tonight, and the folks in Columbus will be partying a bit harder I bet than their counterparts in Cleveland.
Here is your open thread for tonight. Remember the commenting policy please.

[EDSBS – Football Season is Over]
If you guys need some motivation, or inspiration to be a better writer, go read that.
What are you trying to say, sir?
Who’s watching what tonight? I put out an informal poll on Twitter and I think the only people that were watching the Browns were those that were going to the game. Is that the case amongst ya’ll?
I don’t even have a choice. Browns game isn’t on until Saturday on NFLN (I think, I have it DVR’d).
So, B10 network OSU v. Marshall it is.
Mention “you guys” as like everyone, no zing intended.
Speaking of zings, did Rosen ghost-write that last comment for you? #y’all
Thank the Lord for picture-in-picture. Those grueling August two-a-days for my thumb — UP! DOWN! UP! DOWN! — are about to pay off.
Link???
anyone have a link for the ohio state game?
Ugh McCoy.
Wow, Hardesty can’t even make it through the first half of his first game without getting hurt.
Not a good sign.
That was actually a decent drive by McCoy after a couple of really rough ones.

link to the bucks live stream if anyone needs it. although this one was over with 13:42 left in the 1st.
pryor’s arm looks good, saine looks great and defense looks inspired. miami at home, penn state with a true frosh qb…iowa under the lights looks to be the only thing standing in the way of a national title game.
Yeah, OSU looks pretty fantastic right now. Pryor looking good throwing downfield.
@ christopher – don’t forget about @ Wisconsin. That game worries me as much as Iowa. We never seem to play well up there.
Well then bye bye Hardesty.
anyone else impressed with McCoy????
Finally showing signs he can play in this league…
BTW….James Davis better make this team
Hey, for what it’s worth vs the future grocery store baggers of America, McCoy has looked good and James Davis is making the most of his opportunity with Hardesty out of the picture. I’m looking forward to some Cleveland Browns running this season.
Do I see this correctly.. McCoy is 13 for 13? not to shabby if that is correct.
that is correct, for 131 yards…
Hardesty just does not inspire confidence–he reminds me of Beanie Wells: looking good when healthy, but seemingly unable to ever be fully healthy. Unfortunately, the Browns for several years now haven’t had the most reliable training staff either
Seeing some real positives from the Buckeyes, but I think some folks need to heed The Wolf’s advice as far as NC talk is concerned: it’s game one. Against Marshall. This is how we were SUPPOSED to look tonight. Next week is the first real “prove it” game.
And, by the way, the Buckeyes aren’t the only Ohio squad doing some serious work tonight: how about Kent State? 41-10?! I’m not sure they scored 41 combined during my four years there!
