Cavaliers Must Improve During Texas Road Trip
October 10, 2010Browns Lose an Especially Ugly One to Falcons
October 10, 2010The Cleveland Browns (1-3) look to improve upon last week’s surprising victory with a home match against the Atlanta Falcons (3-1) this afternoon at 1 p.m. (FOX). Using an old fashioned running attack through star Peyton Hillis, the Browns shocked the AFC North with the win a week ago against the Bengals. This week, the red-hot Falcons head into town with one of the best defenses in the league and an explosive offense led by Matt Ryan.
Follow along with us here at WFNY and check out some of our earlier posts on the game. “The Browns Will Win If…” is the essential post, but we also are now featuring Craig’s intel info and a weekly staff podcast through Cleveland.com. Go Browns!

I think it’s official….. Hillis has this city in the palm of his hands….
I know it’s early, but he’s probably our new beloved star
Safety help over the top? No? Fail
Time for the offense to chew some clock and give the defense a break. Let’s not mothball Cribbs just because he had his one run; you’re allowed to run more plays for him. Think Daboll knows this?
Totally unneeded LBJ reference
@53 I don’t think Daboll knows there is a game going on.
@54 what an idiot
Wow. Our special teams are pretty good.
Time for a big third down stop and for Cribbs to bust one on the return; someone needs to do something, the offensive coaches sure can’t be counted on.
Well, so much for that plan.
Jake is so totally unaware of whats going on on the field.
Game is still within reach; the offense just needs to settle down.
Why did you have to get injured Seneca?
We need a defensive turn over or some other big play.
Time to break out the Vickers option pass.
Stuckey moving the chains for us on 3rd downs, nice.
You have got to be kidding me.
Amazing play…. I wish Stuckey went for the strip, but wow, great play
I mean, that was the most athletic play I’ve seen in a while. I’m not even upset lol
Totally different team with Delhomme on the field. Get Well soon Seneca
@69, To be fair, he’s hurt too…..I just don’t wanna see McCoy out there
Finding new ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory
While, when healthy, Delhomme is probably the better quarterback than Wallace, you have to wonder if Wallace is a better quarterback for this particular team.
@70, I know he’s hurt, but look at all the off target throws, bad decisions etc. That’s not due to injury
See, that was a dumb pass for an INT
Delhomme was hit in the head before that throw, too bad it wasn’t a penalty. WE WERE GOING TO WIN!
@73, I think that’s due to rust and the fact that he hasn’t really been practicing. That said, I agree with #72, as I’d much rather see Wallace right now.
Also, I hate this league. That wasn’t roughing the passer on Delhomme…Although, he did get punched in the face on the interception
To say the Browns offense is horrible is being kind this is rediculous already. Don’t even bother playing in the second half.
people need to STOP excusing Delhomme’s awfulness. I called this in an earlier post. He’s done. Career is over. If the coaches keep trotting him out there like he’s still an actual NFL qb the results will always be this ugly.
what was up with that BS post earlier this week about how the receivers “need” Delhomme to grow? Yeah. Right.
I’m not worried about Delhomme actually.
Would I like him to be better? Sure. But he’s not.
This was going to be a development year, it just seems we develop more when Delhomme is on the bench.
Let the record show I said we shoulda kicked the fg either after the 2 min warning or def after the roughing the passer penalty. You need 2 scores, get one asap, then kick deep and (hopefully) pin them with your 3 timeouts. But that would have required having smart decision makers
I really hope Wallace is back next week.
I actually agree JNeids. How big did the botched snap turn out tho? Get Hillis that TD and we dont have to continue to pass inside 2 minutes.
All in all, we showed once again to be a competitive team and in position to win the game. It takes time for teams to learn how to win games like that. Few mistakes here and there, dumb penalties, and awful turnovers yet they still werent blown out by a better team. With all the injuries on the O (Delholmme, Wallace, Hillis, Hardesty) I am not too upset about this game. Ryan did a good job with the D today and deserves some recognition after some less then stellar weeks. Daboll on the other hand… the O was better in the hurry up then when he called plays. Get him out of there please. Maybe Mike can coach the O for the rest of the year.
