November 3, 2010Report: Colt McCoy is “Likely” to Start Against the Patriots
November 4, 2010While we’re waiting is your morning link dump of WFNYish goodness from around the internets. It’s our way of saying “Hey other people write good stuff too.” Mostly it’s our way of distracting you until we wake up and start writing. If you see something you think we should share send it to tips@waitingfornextyear.com.

Comparing the Tribe with the Giants- “The first question Indians fans will ask themselves, in the wake of the San Francisco Giants’ unlikely rise to World Series glory, will be, “Can that happen in Cleveland?” The answer, from my perspective, is yes. And no.” [Castrovince/CastroTurf]

Wherefore art thou Antawn Jamison? “From the second Lebron James left Cleveland, I saw an opening for Antawn Jamison to revert back to his old ways of putting up 20 points and 9 boards per game. I expected Jamison to lead the team in scoring, become the number one option with the ball, and also become the veteran leader of this team. Things have turned out quite opposite.” [Only in Cleveland]

Coming off a game against the defending Super Bowl champs, are the Browns now facing the best team in the league?- “For all of the impressive play that the Patriots have though, I still get the impression that they aren’t viewed as the best team in the NFL. Personally, I even get the feeling that if somehow we beat the Patriots and the Jets, our victory over the Jets would be considered the bigger upset.” [Pokorny/Dawgs By Nature]

A look at those who may actually have bigger problems than the Browns- “No matter what you encounter in your life, from your career to your favorite sports teams, there will be others who are doing better than you and there will be others doing worse than you.? What better way to put your team’s prospects in a positive light than to enjoy the misfortunes of others? This is… It Could Be Worse.” [Don Delco/The OBR]

b is right, and i am jealous they got to it before i did…lol!
@Chuck – LOVE the profile pic
why would our upset of the Jets be considered a bigger upset? that is folly if you look at the matchups.
NE and the Jets D are both better at stopping the run, which is not good news for our offense (puts more on Colt and our WRs).
NE is a pass-first team on offense.
NYJ are a run-first team on offense.
Our defense is much better at stopping the run than the pass.
I like our odds against NYJ better than NE.
