CSU Vikings Continue To Roll Opponents
January 3, 2011Mike Holmgren Talks About Eric Mangini and the Future
January 3, 2011[Pulls back curtain]
It only took several months of meetings and phone calls, but we can finally say, “it’s here!” As many of you have seen over the Browns season, we have been working together with Cleveland.com in podcast form, in efforts to slowly acclimate their audience with ours, and vice-versa.Â
Effective today, we will be penning pieces for Cleveland.com that will no only populate our own blog, titled “Still WFNY,” but their main sports page as well with the likes of the Terry Plutos of the world.Â
We’re very excited to be able to provide our readers an alternative outlet on which they can get exclusive WFNY content. While it will start off as a blog that is updated about three times per week, we have the utmost confidence in this partnership that will only continue to provide WFNY fans with additional published work.Â
For now, head over to Cleveland.com and check out Rick’s commencing post. You’ll never believe what team it’s about…
Do enjoy.

Congratulations!
Congrats, keep up the good work!
Congratulations, that’s great.
Now the PD will have some quality ideas.
Ouch, WFNY has finally sold out.
đ
Will the content there be seperate from the content here?
I try to avoid cleveland.com, especially the comment section…
Congrats! And thanks for putting together such and outstanding site!
Sell outs!
Just kidding. Nice job by you guys.
Congrats guys, you have definitely earned it. I’M SURE GETTING RID OF THAT DENNY GUY HELPED.
I was thinking today how the blog title is more fitting than ever, a bleak 9 months ahead of us. Thus, Still WFNY is very appropriate.
@Ezzie, lol
very nice…don’t go #6 on us when your time comes
congrats i guess.
but cleveland.com is the main reason i come here and post here.
the forum there is a cesspool.
so… meh.
just keep it coming here, thanks!
“Will the content there be seperate from the content here?”
It will be different from the content here. We will link to it each time to avoid you from having to dig through the rest of it đ
@10 – but Mary Kay wants to know if the content will be different there than here.
also, Mary Kay would like to know if there will be posts that only occur on cleveland.com and not on waitingfornextyear.com.
finally, Mary Kay would like to ask if you plan on having exclusive content on your new blog.
(yes, I’m listening to the Holmgren presser and MK has asked if he is going to coach in about 15 different ways. really, it’s a marvel she’s able to come up with so many different wordings)
“just keep it coming here, thanks!”
This will not have any impact on what we do here – just another avenue to get WFNY content.
“Ouch, WFNY has finally sold out.”
By providing additional content? Nothing else is changing. Pinky swear.
Nice work, men! You deserve it. Can’t wait to read more from you all.
Kudos! Looking forward to what is to come!

Good work, guys! I’ve been a loyal RSS reader for about 6 months. Anytime you can have more people looking at what you do it’s a good thing!
Happy New Year!
“no wonder frowns was attacked for attacking cleveland.com and the bunch.”
Fair point, but one which was not even remotely considered during our talks with Cleveland.com or within individual discussions between WFNY contributors and other bloggers. Media spats, regardless of medium, has never been something that we do here at WFNY.
For what it’s worth, Jon wrote a very good piece a few months back regarding Paul Hoynes and his Cy Young vote. Also, the “bickering” between Rick and Pete were regarding a piece about Scott Raab, no affiliation with Cleveland.com or The Plain Dealer.
no worries, still love your content. just thought the whole thing was a bit out of character for WFNY (spat w pete). and then this announcement…let the conspiracies ensue:-p
like i said before, hope you guys continue with the great content and taht you don’t get to bogged down by the pessimism at the PD! Working with Pluto should be awesome though
“WFNY has decided to take their talents to Cleveland.com”
You’re all welcome. Clearly this is a result of my retirement.
Congratulations guys. You earned it.
Chris, that was really funny.
great news guys!
So you’re saying that cleveland.com has agreed to let you post a blog and direct traffic off of their site? I think we all know this is the first step towards wfny being acquired by cleveland.com. I don’t begrudge you for this, the goal of almost every blog and startup site is to get bought out by a larger company but telling us that this won’t impact this site and is just another ‘avenue’ is pretty ridiculous.
“I think we all know this is the first step towards wfny being acquired by cleveland.com.”
I wish I would’ve been included in these meetings.
