Game Preview: Blue Jackets vs. Coyotes (Game #60) – Once More Into the Breach…
February 25, 2011While We’re Waiting… Pat Shurmur Approval, NBA Labor, Chad Durbin
February 26, 2011One of your newest Cavaliers, Baron Davis, was thought by some to be a no-show here in Cleveland. Others assumed a buyout was coming. Horror scenarios were dreamed up involving Davis and Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott based on their history. Well, if you take Baron Davis at face value, it appears he won’t pose much of a problem. He wrote this on his facebook page today.
First and foremost, I want to say thank you to the fans in LA and all of Clipper Nation. Not many guys get the chance to play at home in front of their family and friends the way I have been able to the past couple seasons, and I am grateful for that opportunity. My former teammates will always be my family, and I wish them and the organization nothing but the best.
I can’t wait to join my new team, bring good energy and help us win games. I’m ready to call The Q home and bring some excitement!!!
See you soon Ohio! The Beard is on its way!

So that’s it folks. So far so good. We’ll see if this is all just lip service soon.

The Beard > Whatever that was on the back of Drew Gooden’s head.
@Robbie….I believe you are referring to “The Ducktail”
Honestly, if we get any sort of productivity from Barron, it’s a bonus.
If a player says it it’s gotta be true, right?
I’ve decided to be fair and give him a clean slate. Show him some love and maybe we will get some in return
This is better than him saying nothing or the buyout talks starting immediately. I always liked the guy’s play…when he tries.
who knowns maybe byron-baron part ii will surprise people and they’ll actually win a few games. i’m going to be open minded about him until he f’s up and quits.
talent wise, he’s better than mo. then again on his best day mo is a better shooter but that may be all.
i’m actually excited about him. is he really “hurt” or did he sit out that wednesday game just so he could be traded?
the cavs roster page says he’s #85 right now. if he goes through with that it’ll be amazing.
You are all falling for it again amazing. I got a kick out of the coverage of Baron’s Tweets during the Cavaliers game. Just remember a leopard doesn’t change it’s spots.
On another note it was impressive to see the Cavaliers beat the Knicks tonight. They continued to show heart and determination even when it looked like NY was ready to complete the comeback. Anytime NY loses it’s a good day.
The Cavs are starting to be relevant again (talking locally here people not ESPN). Amazing.
It drives me crazy to see them beat the Lakers, Celtics, and Knicks twice but they can’t beat the Wizards, Pistons, or Pacers.
@Shamrock I’m guessing you’re a Celtics fan sooooo….

Baron will be good for this team. He will help the young guys, work on his game, do his time so to speak, and he’ll be more consistently productive than mo.
The Knicks are quite overhyped. I’d LOVE to see Baron grow out the beard into a neo-lumberjack chic look.
@8 I like AC not sure the relevance. My warning stands: beware of Baron Davis. He’s been irrelevant for awhile but all of a sudden it’s like he is the kid out of UCLA drafted 12 years ago. I’m sure he’ll provide some much needed excitement but he could also just as well be a big distraction.

“WAT IS SNOW LOL” – Baron Davis, sometime in the next five days.
