Scott linked to a mock draft on Twitter today that had the Browns selecting Marcell Dareus. We’ve already done that post. So, I skipped down to another defensive lineman, Robert Quinn and gave him the anecdotal, inconclusive Youtube video treatment. Without further ado here is a longer clip of Quinn and his North Carolina teammates matching up with Boston College.
Here is Quinn from ’09 against UVA.
Also, the fine folks over at DawgsByNature did their own analysis of Quinn and his prospects with the Browns.
Robert Quinn is a difficult one to predict because he missed the entire 2010 season because he accepted money in an NCAA violation. Still, if he interviews well and if his combine numbers are enough to impress Tom Heckert, the Browns could have an exciting player in Quinn. Just glancing at the tape he seems to have the around-the-outside speed of Wimbley, but he also seems to have the technique to gain inside leverage. His jump on the snap is impressive, but that is against varying levels of offensive tackles.
What say you?
