With the 59th pick…

The Cleveland Browns finally addressed the offense in this draft with WR Greg Little from UNC.

Little is anything but. He’s close to 6’3″ and weighs 231 pounds. He does have above average speed for a WR, but is considered strong for a wideout.

Your Greg Little video footage-

  • Tommy Fullington

Was hoping for Randall Cobb…. but this is a great pick. Welcome to Cleveland Big Boy.

  • Josh010388

I really like this pick… he looks tough and had great hands from the 20 second highlight clip ESPN showed… that’s all you need to know about a guy, right??

Per NFL.com “Smart player that sets up defensive backs with fakes and has the burst to quickly gain separation. Strong runner after the catch with a powerful stiff arm. Fearless over the middle and a willing blocker” – Smart, Strong, Fearless. Can’t argue with that. Good draft so far

  • christopher

Apparently Heckert thought our team was soft and just said eff it I’m drafting thuggish freak athletes this year. I like it.

  • Webster

Hillis, Vickers, Watson, Hardesty gets back, and now Greg Little.
It looks like we’re putting together a pretty punishing offense.

  • The Other Tim

Looks pretty good. Except for getting caught from behind twice and coughing up the ball… on his own highlight video.
    ;-)

  • Stevo

Well he may take plays off, but when he doesn’t it looks like he goes all out… Looks like a beast in the clip above. Kind of reminds me Andre Johnson.

Side note: Heckert is not at all concerned about character issues is he?

  • b

3 guys with character issues. I don’t mind it so much in D-Lineman who I want to be nasty mofos, but hoping Little has learned from his mistakes and has matured.

  • bobby

I dont love Little but I was hoping to continue to add talent to the D. I think we’ll see an OL a DB and a QB with 3 of our 5 picks.

  • Nicko

    Our next diva.

  • Garry Owen

Wasn’t sold on him until seeing the block at 3:02. I love a good Wide Blocker.

  • MC

Love the pick. Perfect for the west coast offense and from watching this highlight tape he is the WR version of peyton hillis just running of smaller dbs. Only concern I have is that he is an inexperienced in the position considering he’s a converted rb.

  • Gren

That spin move he seems to love, just looks awesome.

  • Painesville

What draft? Santana ends it with a salami in the ninth!

  • Anthony

How many college FB players DON’T have character issues nowadays? They can’t all be Tebow.

  • Bernie Quasar

This guy looks like a bruiser… almost Hillis-esq at points. I had to rewind a couple of those hits because I couldn’t believe it was from a WR. Lets just send Hillis Vickers and Little down the field together in a 3-man offensive hit squad.

  • Brooks

This cat was on some NFL network show the other day with AJ green. He was interviewed and running drills with Michael Irving. Irving loved him. At one point little lined up against a DB prospect. It looked like a NFL player lining up across from me. This dude is 230 lbs of muscle.

I am pumped about this pick…but I was thinking it would be in a later round b/c it doesn’t look like he runs the best routes. I can’t wait for him to lay that puffy haired punk from Pissburgh on his arse!

  • JackGonzo

I think Brooks hit the nail on the head in a way. He reminds me of Michael Irvin and TO. Diva, maybe but I’ll take diva if the kid can play football and helps us win games.

Stevo if this guy turns out how I think he may turn out I think his nickname may have to be Beast Mode

Has anyone else noticed a theme for the non-qb players that Heckert and Holmgren are bringing in?

Most are good athletes. Most are large and “strong like bull”… as compared to their positions.

But, all, and I mean ALL, are physical and have nasty mean streaks.

    I like.

  • b

maybe knowing that if and when there’s football again there will be a rookie wage scale and they won’t be cashing in as much on the signing bonus, thereby hopefully keeping them focused on actually earning the next contract gave H&H more confidence drafting questionable character guys. there are probably enough good influences in the locker room to set them straight too. peyton hillis even high-fived lord and savior jesus christ on the national stage last night.

  • Pelder

I LOVE this pick, only problem I have is making sure he doesn’t go insane on us, and getting him to run better routes, play consistently hard. But I love Little’s game, Hillis as a WR is exactly right.

  • Ike

Lovin this draft for the Browns. Little is of GREAT value at that spot.

  • James

Guys, he’s not a converted running back. If anyone has already this, I apologize, He was a WR that Butch Davis tried at RB in order to get him more Reps. At the time he was playing behind Hakeem Nicks.

  • The Other Tim

Good enough for Butch Davis, good enough for…

    Oh no.

    Little is a beast!

@54 seconds: Braylon lets that ball hit off both of his hands, his chest, possibly his facemask, and then drops it. Already an improvement.
