I would absolutely fly up for this kind of thing, with adequate notice. Won’t be able to swing it this time unfortunately, but love the idea.
OR just buy an $8 nosebleed seat and move down to the mezzanine!
Scott’s half beard will never look so gruff!
My oh my, have you guys come a long way. A few years ago it was Double A, Akron Areos, and now you’re in The Show!
We’re still going to do the Aeros game this year Don, just looking to have some fun with the Tribe too.
#2, I guess there’s always one in every group.
I’m with B-bo. Would love if you guys could coordinate something like this for a weekend, with plenty of advanced notice, so that all of us expatriates could plan the journey and make the game.
(Not criticizing at all. It’s a cool thing that you’re doing, and sounds like a great time.)
How does it work, anyway? Does everyone wear a nametag with their screen name that says “Hello, My Name is: Garry Owen”? Could I bring my son, “Garry Owen, Jr.,” and my wife, “Mrs. Garry Owen”?
Living in New Jersey, its hard to make Wednesday night games. Love the offer though! I would love to see another thing like this later in the season and maybe for a divisional opponent
#5 – I know, Scott’s beard has a life of its own!
@6. I think they provide laptops, and there will be an open thread, and all conversation will happen that way.
Great idea, but I will be heading the other direction unfortunately.

So when someone types LOL will there be actual audible laughter?
/zen moment
@humbolt – yes, audible laughter will ensue, however it will be emanated from a MPEG on the individual laptops.
also, all people must adhere to a strict internet dress code of underwear, wife-beater w/ mustard stains* and Indians ballcap that is at least 15years old and looks to be at least 30 years old**
*can substitute mustard for bbq stains if you live outside of Cuyahoga County. aka ‘the country folks’
**all sarcastic statements above are likely rooted in the jealously I have from not being able to go to a MLB game on a weekday night due to living in a college town.
Love that we are gathering at the Jake in addition to the Aeros annual Thursday night game. Great idea & I’ll be there.
I love laughter, you guys.
Been meaning to comment on this for a while… You guys should take this to the road! This would be great in NYC (er, next year. Or playoff time! 😀 ).
Sounds like fun, enjoy the game tonight.
