The Cleveland Cavaliers have announced their decision to assign power forward Luke Harangody to the Canton Charge, the team’s NBDL affiliate.
Appearing in five games during the 2010-11 NBA season, Harangody has averaged 2.6 points on .455 shooting, 1.2 rebounds and 7.6 minutes of play. He was acquired during the 2010 NBA trade deadline, along with center Semih Erden, in exchange for a second-round draft selection via the Boston Celtics. He finished second in Notre Dame men’s basketball program history in both points (2,476) – second to former Cavalier Austin Carr – and rebounds (1,222).
This move likely signals that rookie power forward Tristan Thompson will be activated this Friday after missing the past two games with an ankle injury.
