Not to be a hater, but Boston is not a good team. So for all the “turning point” talk, stop it. But yeah, this guy is good.
Missed Rajon too! 🙁
Who was Irving barking at after the shot? It looked like he had a few choice words for a fan on the sidelines. I agree that the Celtics are certainly in decline, but last night was as good as I’ve seen Ray Allen play. Until his missed layup in the final minute, he was hitting shot after shot and playing terrific defense. It’s insane how that guy can be almost 40 years old and still run around screens all day the way he does.
Kyrie was barking at his dad.
He was yelling at his Dad. He played at Boston University and had front row seats. Even more special for that young man
That’s awesome… love that.
What was Garnett doing on that play? For supposedy being such a great defender he sure looked lost and slow.
I enjoyed that Andy, leaving nothing to chance, was in perfect putback position if that layup rimmed out.
He was also in perfect position to finish the pick-and-roll at the rim — only Ray Allen stood in his way, since Jamison had pulled KG so far out of the key and Bass was double Kyrie. In fact, that might have been a safer play than the spin move lefty lay-up. Not that I’m complaining.
I saw that to, guys. Just textbook timing and positioning and effort by Andy, both as to when/where he set the pick and his trail to the hole. Would have taken a very weird rim-out for Andy not get the tip-in. Of course, Kyrie’s snake slither forced the defenders to ignore Andy. Impressive how small a crease Kyrie needs to get past guys. Not having elite speed or hops means nothing when you can do that.
