Kyrie Irving did it again, folks. This time, it was two free throws with 0.4 seconds remaining after a bone-headed foul by the Kings’ Tyreke Evans, but Irving put the Cavaliers ahead in the waning moments, as he led the team with 23 points in the wine and gold’s 93-92 victory in The Q. The Cavs won this game despite shooting just 36% as a team and scoring 18 fourth quarter points. Tristan Thompson stepped up out of the crowd of big men for his first career double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. For the Kings, the last pick of the 2011 NBA Draft, 5’8″ point Isaiah Thomas, battled Irving all game, matching his 23 points and adding 8 rebounds and 11 assists. Antawn Jamison and Marcus Thornton added 21 points each for their respective teams. Cleveland is now 12-17 and faces Detroit at home on Tuesday night.

While I guess the Hickson for Casspi trade hasn’t helped us, it looks like it hasn’t hurt as well.
So, not to be “that guy”, but if we should lose to anyone, it should be the team who’s Top-14 protected pick we own.
hickson with 0? surely this isnt a typo, isnt it?
Don’t forget we also got a protected pick, so the jury is still out about the trade.
Not bad for a team with only 8 active players. This Cavs team could be special again really soon.
Even though Casspi went a miserable 0-5 from the 3-point line, I will still take him over Hickson any day of the week. Casspi still rebounds and plays defense when he’s not shooting well. I’m going to mark that trade as a win for Chris Grant.
I get very conflicted watching games like this. It was an exciting finish and great to see the youngsters grow. Then I think of the players we could miss out on in the draft. It’s like buying a round at the bar and feeling good about it, but still knowing you have to pay for it.
Totally agree man! Esp when I saw we won by a point.
