February 25, 2012The national TV audience finally got introduced to Kyrie Irving.
In the blistering pace of the talent-laden Rookie-Sophomore Game, Cleveland Cavaliers Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson led their teams in scoring. Irving won MVP honors, scoring a game-high 34 points for Team Chuck with 12-of-13 shooting, including a perfect 8-of-8 from three point range. Kyrie also had 9 assists and 2 steals in his 27 minutes as Irving and Barkley’s team topped Tristan and O’Neal’s team 146-133 in Orlando. Tristan posted 20 points with 9 dunks, shooting 10-for-11 from the field, to go with 1 rebound and 1 assist in 27 minutes. Former CSU Viking and Miami Heat guard Norris Cole added 18 points and 6 assists for Team Shaq, while former Buckeye and Philadelphia 76ers guard Evan Turner had a nice all-around game with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists.

i like how it looks like irving was +201 in that table. that’s a heck of a game
MVP performance. 8 for 8 even with no D is sick. Kyrie is the real deal.
Even with the lack of defense, loved seeing this kind of performance from Kyrie showcasing his talents on the national stage.

Kyrie Irving eight for eight for outside the ark is amazing. He is a allstar to Cleveland after losing Lebron and Mo and I think he is the right person to step up for the Cavs.
I liked seeing him be selfish and taking shots he started out being totally passive but saw in order to make an impact he had to do it himself. Nothing wrong with that in those kind of games.
