NBA Power Rankings: Cavaliers move up to 17th
February 6, 2012Report: City of Cleveland to Give $5.8 Million to Browns
February 7, 2012With all contracts being guaranteed come this Friday and guard Daniel Gibson returning from his bout with an infected neck, the Cavaliers have opted to waive guard-forward Mychel Thompson. Starting three games, Thompson averaged 3.6 points and 1.0 rebound.
This move provides Chris Grant with enhanced flexibility as they head into the trade deadline. The team could opt to add another player in a trade or merely decide to bring released shooting guard Manny Harris up from the Canton Charge where he, coming off of back-to-back 21-point outings, averaging 18.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game on the seeason.
A 10-day contract can also come into play.

Thompson was more than just a serviceable player. He understood the flow of the game, ahd good court awareness, and was on track to becoming a better shooter that what we have in Parker. I’m sorry to see him go.
I agree. He is confident in his shooting ability and can play better defense than Parker.
any possibility he’s signed to the Charge?
