February 10, 2012The NBA announced the reserves for the NBA All-Star game on Sunday, February 26. For the Eastern Conference, the reserves are R. Hibbert (Ind), L. Deng (Chi), P. Pierce (Bos), C. Bosh (Mia), D. Williams (NJ), A. Iguodala (Phi) and Joe Johnson (Atl). They join starters D. Wade and L. James (Mia), D. Rose (Chi), D. Howard (Orl) and C. Anthony (NY).
Cavaliers Anderson Varejao and Kyrie Irving were not selected to participate, but could always be added as injury replacements. Irving and fellow rookie Tristan Thompson have been invited to take part in the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge.

DENG?!?! Come on, I know the Bulls are the best, but that is why Rose wins the MVP, because he DOESNT have All Stars around him. Andy>Bosh. Kyrie>DWill. But hey, I’m not surprised at all.
So the NBA coaches are really saying that, in a pickup game, they’re picking Deng over Andy? I’d maybe expect that in a fan vote, but not from the coaches.
No surprises. Deng’s been great for CHI when healthy and they’re a top team in the east. Two injuries away from a Cav in an all-star uniform…
Calling it now…..Andy gives Bosh a couple extra elbows in the face tonight to increase his chances of heading to Orlando next weekend.
