Report: Grady Sizemore injured; will miss Opening Day

The Cleveland Indians’ head trainer Lonnie Soloff spoke to the media today and revealed that OF Grady Sizemore strained his back during rehab three weeks ago and has been shut down from baseball activities. He is a candidate for the disabled list for opening day.

The Indians have no timetable right now for Sizmore’s recovery.

     Did you see that Trevor is changing his number from 4 to 80? That’s a 20-fold increase right there, and we haven’t even started yet!

    Of course, some other recent 80s in our town include Crotch Rocket Soljah and the mysterious Robo, so maybe this isn’t necessarily going to save Crowe’s career.

    With how secretive the Indians tend to be about injuries, and given the fact that they’ve already written him off for opening day, it would not surprise me at all if this was something a lot more serious than a “strained back”. He didnt even make it to camp before before shutting down ALL baseball activities? Yowzer, the 60 day DL is probably next. He’s done.
