Player Profile: How Good Can Carlos Santana Be?
March 15, 2012Breaking: Ramon Sessions Traded to Lakers for Future Draft Pick
March 15, 2012The Browns officially announced the signing of DE Frostee Rucker this morning, and Rucker had the chance to answer questions from the local media-
“It was pretty much a no-brainer. I want to be a part of something on the rise.”
“They are giving me the keys to the car at right DE.”
On playing the Browns last season-
“They were a scrappy group. Both games came down to the wire and I was impressed.”
“I know what it takes to play Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Cincinnati and I know what it takes to play at a high level against those guys.”
On off field incidents-
“I’m at a good place in my life right now, I’ve matured. I’m not around any knuckleheads. I put those things behind me long time ago.”
The Browns on Rucker-
“Frostee is a player that we targeted in free agency, and we couldn’t be happier that he chose to become a member of the Cleveland Browns,” said Browns general manager Tom Heckert. “We really like the veteran presence that he will give our young defensive line. He started last year for one of the top defenses in the NFL, and we feel as though he can come in and have that same impact on our defense.”
“We are very excited to add a player of Frostee’s caliber to our team,” said Browns head coach Pat Shurmur. “He is an outstanding player and an even better person. I look forward to him becoming a productive member of the Cleveland Browns for years to come.”

Frostee, god love you, but you’re around a whole new bunch of knuckleheads in Berea now.
I appreciate that he uses “knuckleheads.”
People have been blasting us, saying that this was a bad move because Rucker can play the run but he’s not a pass rusher. Maybe he’ll do better here where he has Sheard to draw attention away from him. We shall see.
So far, so good.
For a second there I thought the Browns signed former Indians slugger Pedro Cerrano. Nope, just an Allstate Insurance ad.
and I thought David Palmer was running for re-election
I bet it was a no brainer, I doubt anyone else will give him 20 mill with 8 guaranteed. This will be the Browns biggest move, even after they trade out of 4 in the draft, It will happen, just like last year. I still don’t see first round value in Phil Taylor either.
Like you said the money and walking in and starting = no brainer
there’s always room for a froste(s)
