Significant Nothings: Thoughts on The Indians & Spring Training
March 5, 2012Cavaliers Look To Snap Season-High Losing Streak
March 5, 2012You may notice a new advertisement in our sidebar, one that looks identical to the image directly to the right of this very text.
If you follow any of us on Twitter or Like us on Facebook, you may have been made aware that Waiting For Next Year sits atop the “Sports” region in Cleveland.com’s March Madness-style tournament, pitting local electronic scribes against one another with the victor being left in your hands.
Dubbed the “city’s flagship sports blog,” (not bad, eh?) WFNY joins local notables such as Stepien Rules (sports), Cleveland’s a Plum (lifestyle), White-collar Redneck (entertainment) and Chef’s Widow (food/drink). Something for everyone.
It’s here where we ask for your vote – you can click on the image above or the one in the sidebar, the choice is yours. Consider this to be our “donate” sidebar button, but the only currency is 30 seconds of your time. We hope you appreciate what we do here on a daily basis half as much as we appreciate you all stopping by.
Thanks in advance, folks.

I just want to add support for I Rock Cleveland (http://blog.irockcleveland.com/) in this voting (#3 seed in Entertainment). Bill is one of the absolute most thoughtful music writers out there, and his reviews are a great source for discovering new music. It’s one of my absolute favorite sites.
And any votes for WFNY, of course, are also greatly appreciated.
(also, my opinion on I Rock Cleveland is my own opinion, and not the opinion of WFNY as a whole)
Holy hell I got included as a ‘local notable’ (White Collar Redneck) – thanks! I’m hoping the #2 vs #7 isn’t this bracket’s #5 vs #12.
I feel sorta bad voting on 16 match-ups when I’ve only heard of 3 of the blogs before (and couldn’t care less about the other 3 “regions”). Yay, for random judging by arbitrary
one sentence taglines!
Good stuff WFNY!
I was shocked that Dawgs By Nature wasn’t on there… those guys do a really good job covering the Browns.
Agree Pat. As well as The DiaTribe and a few others. I guess I wouldn’t want the job to pick only 8 Cleveland sports blogs. Tough decisions.
thanks Scott, you guys are pretty notable yourself. ha.
