The Indians didn’t have many highlights in this one. A Carlos Santana throw from his knees to cut down a runner and a rare 8-3 double play were about it. Cunningham missed a home run by an inch or two. Shelley Duncan left the bases loaded in the sixth with just one out. That about sums it up. Derek Lowe battled, but did not have good stuff.

Carlos Santana continued his mastery of blocking pitches this year. Really, last year he was terrible and let a ton of pitches get past him (perhaps an after-effect of the knee surgery?). This season he is getting in front of everything, which is great but the pitchers might want to ease up on him a bit.
also, I watched the game until the 8th and flipped it over to radio afterwards falling asleep while waiting for that rally that never came.
