NFL Draft: Bill Polian Says Trent Richardson is “Sure Thing”
April 11, 2012Box Score: White Sox 10, Indians 6
April 11, 2012As the Matt Kalil debate rages on Twitter regarding whether he can play right tackle, the Browns have reportedly worked out an offensive lineman prospect that is expected to go some time in the first round of the NFL Draft.
It is interesting because Glenn played left guard for Georgia last year, but is trying to sell himself as an offensive tackle. The reasoning for Glenn is obvious as tackles make more money in the NFL than guards do. In his career at Georgia, Glenn has 28 starts at left guard, 18 at left tackle and four starts at right guard. Here are highlights of a game where he played left tackle against Boise.

BPA. Could come in to the mix if for some reason we do not want to pick right away(trade away 4th pick) or if he slips down
Im still on the TRich at 4 then whoever is available at 22 with these lineman. DeCastro, Glenn, or Martin. Then the BWRA at 37. We need to be able to run the stinking ball in the AFC North!
Im still on the TRich at 4 then whoever is available at 22 with these lineman bandwagon.
So, 28 starts at LG, 18 starts at LT, 4 starts at RG, and we’re going to draft him as a starting RT. Makes sense. Either that or Center.
(I’m being overly sarcastic, of course, since I think Matt Kalil would be a perfect RT acquisition.)
he did dominate at RT at the Senior Bowl. sadly, I don’t think there’s any way he’s still there at #22 with the Chargers and Bengals picking ahead of us (i think one takes DeCastro and the other Glenn).
Soooooo….am I the only one that noticed about 60% of the time he was a half a count late off the snap? I’ll pass on the first round….
Am I the only person who doesn’t see any kind of “punch” needed to be a OT in the NFL? He “catches” every single rusher. I’ll pass on him at 22. I’d rather go WR there after taking TRich at 4 and then going RT at 37.
He looks like a LG in the NFL. I wouldn’t hate the pick, but if we take a guard early I’d rather see Zeitler in the second round, possibly after a trade up from the third. If we also get a RT at 22 or 37, the line would be set for the first time since the 80’s.
