NBA Report: Lester Hudson will not finish season with Cavs
April 19, 2012Box Score: Indians 2, Mariners 1
April 20, 2012According to the Memphis newspaper The Commercial Appeal, G Lester Hudson will sign with the Grizzlies and will be eligible for their playoff roster-
“Guard Lester Hudson, whose second 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers expired on Wednesday, is expected to sign with the Griz for the rest of the season. A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed that Hudson has a verbal agreement to return to his hometown of Memphis.
Hudson, 27, will be eligible for the postseason because he had not been waived. He’ll be added as insurance in the backcourt as veteran sharpshooter Gilbert Arenas recovers from an injury on his shooting hand.”
Apparently, because he was not waived by the Cavaliers, he is eligible for post-season play, provided the Grizzlies put him on the active roster.

Hey, could be worse. Could be the heat. Wish him the best
good riddance
Yeh – I totally hate it when players surprise me and contribute in a meaningful way!
Is the season over yet?
Those couple of BIG wins LoL. Anyways sounds like the Cavaliers might have done Hudson a favor here. They didn’t waive him which allowed him to be eligible for the post-season if signed by someone in the post-season. It just so happened that his hometown team the Grizzles had an interest.
Yeah and Mary Schmitt Boyer was way off in her column about Hudson not being eligible. Thank goodness we have wfny to get facts.
