Junior Seau is more than just a concussion storyline
May 3, 2012A Dan Coughlin guest post: Browns Still Hunting for a QB
May 3, 2012One of the most talented players in the AFC North might not be taking the field for the vaunted Ravens defense this year if recent reports are true. According to Pro Football Talk, Ravens all-world linebacker Terrell Suggs might have a torn achilles.
A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that the Ravens have not yet received a conclusive diagnosis. Still, for now, it doesn’t look good.
And it won’t look good for the Ravens if they have to proceed without the 2011 defensive player of the year.
Injuries are a part of football as Browns fans know all too well. I certainly don’t take any pleasure in the fact that Suggs might not play this year. I always maintain that it would be more fun to see new Browns running back Trent Richardson pound through a Terrell Suggs than any of his potential replacements. All that being said, it is certainly news when one of the most talented players from a division rival might not be available for the two scheduled matchups with the Browns this year.

and in true Ozzie fashion, he just happened to have drafted his injury replacement with his first selection last week (2nd round Courtney Upshaw)
not a good injury for any athlete, particularly an explosive pass-rushing LB. Just ask Jamir Miller.
or Reggie Hodges
(sigh) It seems like the Steelers and the Ravens always pull stuff like that. “Lets just sit back and wait for a top 15 talent to fall into our laps at the bottom of the 1st round”. They make the draft look so easy…and we somehow complicate it to no end.
Instead of Ozzie we get all these other ex-Browns, go figure. The Baltimore Browns do it the right way!
I threw this out on Twitter earlier, may as well post it here.
what I meant was Jamir was same approximate age, position and skill set as Suggs and had to retire after that. Hope Hodges can come back.
Last time I was ‘happy’ (not the right word but I think everyone gets what I mean) for an injury was V-Mart (which makes happy double the wrong word)… and that resulted in Prince Fielder. Guess we should all be glad Mario Williams is off the market.
This is the truest statement ever conceived.
