Box Score: White Sox 12, Indians 6

This game looked a lot like the other two contests of this series, but was a lot more damaging. With the White Sox (26-22) victory, they are now just one-half game behind the Tribe (26-21) in the AL Central. Oy.

Some of the highlights from today: Ubaldo Jimenez continued with his early-inning struggles, Lou Marson got hit in the mouth with a pitch and Johnny Damon hit his first home run as an Indian. That’s about it. It all adds up to yet another awful pitching performance en route to a big loss for CLE.

  • CLE

trade jimenez for a used washing machine.

  • Mark Shapiro

embarassment! I doubt we’ll even win a game against KC.

  • EyesAbove

The White Sox own us, and at this point Im actually hoping that Jimenez has some hidden injury. There is no other excuse for him to be this bad.

  • mgbode

should we be encouraged that we raked without 3 of our best hitters?

what the heck happened to our pitching staff this series?   that was embarrassing.

  • Matt Underwood

    Smoke & mirrors – after 162 games, 4th place.

  • BuckeyeDawg

I would like to take this opportunity to again congratulate the Colorado Rockies for fleecing us out of our two best minor league pitchers for a guy with no consistency or dependability and an ERA of almost 6.00. Should have known it was too good to be true.

All we did was replace one guy who does that (Carmona/Hernandez) with another (Jimenez).

  • The_Real_Shamrock

I knew I should have taken Konerko, De Aza and Viciedo for my games yesterday!
