May 12, 2012According to the Akron Beacon Journal’s Nate Ulrich and Scout.com, the Cleveland Browns have signed linebacker Emmanuel Acho (Round 6, Pick 204 overall) to a contract. Acho, a 6’2″ 245 pound linebacker out of Texas, had 131 tackles and 3 sacks last season with the Longhorns. Acho will look to find a role among the team’s linebacking group at either middle or weakside linebacker, where he played primarily last season.
The deal, reported to be four years and $2.178 million with a $79k signing bonus, leaves the team’s two first-round draft choices, running back Trent Richardson and quarterback Brandon Weeden, as the only remaining unsigned picks.
