May 6, 2012The Indians acquired 7-foot-1 RHP Loek Van Mil for future cash considerations.
Van Mil, 27, will report to Double-A Akron. The native of Oss, Netherlands, was pitching for Triple-A Salt Lake, where he compiled a 1-0 record and 6.30 ERA in eight games. In 30 appearances for Double-A Arkansas last season, Van Mil went 3-5 with a 2.04 ERA.
Born Ludovicus Jacobus Maria van Mil, he was signed by Twins in 2005 and played for Netherlands’ national team in 2007. He is the tallest player in the minor leagues.
After the 2011 season, Baseball America ranked Van Mil the 30th best prospect in the Angels’ system.

Can they trade him to the Cavs?
The Dolans plan to use him to change the lights on the scoreboard. They are to cheap to by a ladder.
