Video: Kyrie Irving is “Uncle Drew” in new Pepsi Max commercial

After teasing it just a week or so ago, Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving took to twitter today to debut his new Pepsi Max commercial. As Austin Carr might say, “Well done young fella.”

Your reaction?

Why would you have a SPOILER as your headline and not tell people that it’s a spoiler?

  • Natedawg86

Would have been to have people guess who uncle drew was.

kyrie’s the man. and honestly a million time the actor bron is. it use to be painful pretending like bron could act but kyrie is goood

  • Hypno_Toad

Yeah you kind of blew that one.

  • Karsten Treu

His name is on the video title, doesn’t really matter. I giggled though.

Reminds me of the ads from Nike from a few years ago with another former Cavaliers player.

Wow. Didn’t realize it was a secret. Been talked about for a while now.

  • Julie

Yeah, I didn’t either.  I’ve seen his picture dressed like this various places.  I wouldn’t really call it a “spoiler.”

  • cmm13

uh…. i don’t mean to go all Tom Hanks here but; i don’t get it.

This can’t be the final edit right?

  • Vindictive_Pat

Maybe because this Pepsi Max commercial isn’t exactly “The Shawshank Redemption”.

Kyrie did solid an interview in GQ. – http://www.gq.com/blogs/the-q/2012/05/because-im-kyrie-a-gqa-with-the-nbas-rookie-of-the-year.html

Love the “Cause I’m Kyrie” line

The best part of the Kyrie-Uncle Drew bit is that the young athletic guys in my local park never used to let me play because I’m a fat old white guy, but now I just dress up like an older Black man, and they fall over themselves to count me in.
