Trent Richardson, the Alabama running back who was selected third-overall by the Cleveland Browns roughly three weeks ago, would like to have a contract in place prior to the start of minicamps which kick off this Friday.
In an interview with 92.3 The Fan, Richardson compared the last several weeks as a “movie” and a “dream,” neither of which he would like to end any time soon. A three-down, all-purpose back, Richardson is expected to step in and become an offensive weapon which would instantly upgrade a Browns offense that was among the league’s worst in production through 2011.
“I’m blessed and can’t wait to get to Cleveland,” said Richardson. “I’m a blue collar player and I’ve always been a blue collar person and I can’t wait to get to work and be a part of this Cleveland family.”
