Not so sure about the win-loss, but I expect Weeden to make things more exciting by lengthening the field. Pretty pumped.
I think he will will start from day 1. He will throw for 3,500 yards and toss about 20 TDs. He will have his fair share of picks and sacks but I am expecting a lot from this kid.
3000 yards, 22 td, 15 int
I am going to say 3,076 yards with 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. And one concussion served by the foul James Harrison. Book it!
Start Game 1. 3200 passing yards for the year. Career with Cleveland? Better than what we have had, but will still leave us wanting.
I think he will start Week 1. He will have moments where I think “this is our guy!! Finally!!” and moments where I wish I’d never heard his name. Does that mean he will have a “long” career in Cleveland and help us get to the playoffs, or dare I say the SB? Who knows, only time will tell. Right now the optimist in me is cheering him on the whole way.
Start. Do good. Screw up. Get booed. Get replaced by McCoy. McCoy will get hurt – Weeden back in. Will do average. You know, a typical Browns’ season.
Starts from game one, throws for 2,400 yards 14 touchdowns, 14 picks…and literally detaches Mo Mass arms with one of his lasers…
3,500-4,000 yards in 6 out of the next 8 seasons. 4 playoff appearances, one super bowl loss, 2 pro bowl appearances.
I think that Weeden will give us the boost we need at QB and finally give the Browns some excitement with that rocket arm of his! I don’t think we are heading to the playoffs but I am hoping he will provide a spark that hasn’t been at the Lakefront since we return in ’99. Go Browns!
Brandon Weeden will use his part of his rookie earnings to buy a less-hideous watch before the season is out…
8-8, baby
agree that he should have a higher YPA and more INTs as a result. hopefully, more TDs and yards too.
you must be planning on a vacation during one of the Steeler weeks 🙂
Haha. I’d say it’s more a law of nature… Harrison concusses Browns players regardless of when and where. He sees that orange helmet and has to lower himself to charge into it. So in short, James Harrison has the instincts and intelligence of male bovine.
Brandon Weeden will start Game 1 against the Eagles. The only thing that will prohibit him from starting Game 1 is if he can not learn the offense quick enough I think he will have a good career given two things; 1. When the pocket collapses, he doesn’t make poor decisions…Throw.The.Ball.Away. & 2. He has a receiver who can stretch the field. For example, the Ravens passing attack instantly got better with the emergence of Torrey Smith. Hopefully, Travis Benjamin can be our Torrey Smith.
Starts game 1, surprises, 3000 yards passing, solid starter for years. At least I can hope.
I have zero expectations statistically. I have many hopes, and I believe he does have the ability to be a quality NFL starter.
All I really expect from him is an honest effort and his complete devotion to making himself a better football player. DA showed me in 2007 how a half a season of eye popping stats can fool people into thinking a QB had a better year than he really did. So, I’m not interested in stats as much as I am seeing him learn to read NFL defenses and make plays when things are not perfect.
To me he seems like a hard working kid with a good head on his shoulders. So long as he gives it all he’s got, it’s not my place to say he’s unsuccessful if he does not reach certain random performance benchmarks.
weeden will suck, then get a little better, then have 3 really good games at the end of the season. typical browns season, crush our hopes early… show some signs of life, then get our hopes up right at the end when it doesn’t matter any more. just to repeat the cycle again next year…
I’m hoping he’s Bernie Kosar I’m guessing he’s the next future, non future quaterback
I expect Weeden to have a better season than Colt did last year. Not saying much, but I think we will see some flashes of greatness. Overall, I expect him to exceed most expectations. I also expect us to be wearing matching watches.
Do you expect him to start from Game 1, how many yards will he throw for, what kind of career will he have in Cleveland, etc
Start from Game 1 and beat Peyton’s streak. He’ll throw for 299 yards 2TD + one rushing TD, and he’ll be the answer at quarterback we’ve been waiting for.
Too much to ask?
Weeden will win rookie I the year and lead his team to the Super Bowl
Foolishly, I implied his Game 1 stats. Ironically, it may be accurate for the year.
I’d say he’ll have something resembling Andy Dalton’s first year for Cinci. He has a better arm, but lacks a stud WR, which may well even out the numbers a bit. So, something just north of 3,000 yards and in the ballpark of 20 TDs with a respectable completion percentage shouldn’t be out of reach.
He will start 10 games, put up respectable numbers. Colt is still the best though!
Weeden will start 12 of the 16 games this year! Easily throw for 2500 yards and have 15 touchdown passes!
i think he will win 7 games this year
weeden will throw for 2500 yds 18 tds and 17 ints.
Starts from game 1. Does well throwing the ball, particularly behind a complete offensive line, McCoy’s greater ability to elude is erased by the lessened need for escape and the coolness Weeden brings from age and professional experience.
Bweeden is going to take the Browns all the way!!! Super Bowl baby!!!
6 wins in 2012, 3100 yds, 6 better-than-average years,
Weeden will hopefully get us 7-8 wins this year as long as T Rich stays healthy, GO BROWNS!!
Please let me win!!! muskrat01@tds.net
How about – start from game one, miss one game and finish with QB Rating 90.7, 3144 yards and 17 td (just copied Alex Smith’s stats from ’11)
Weeden = Playoffs in 2012 2500 yards 15 td and 8 ints
I think weeden will do very well, elevate the play of the whole offense and we will just barely miss the playoffs at 8-8
Weeden will surprise a generation of Browns fans that has never experienced an extremely talented field general.
Weeden is starter by Game 2. Game 1 belongs to Colt.
Weeden will start from game 1 and will likely amass numbers somewhere in the neighborhood of 3500 w/20 tds and 15 picks.
I don’t expect Brandon to start but I sure do hope so! I’m an OK State Cowboys fan and he did wonders for our team! I really believe that he can do the same with the Browns if given the chance. He can work with anyone but he needs to find his “go-to guy”. I have faith Brandon Weeden and The browns will do awesome this year and I can’t wait!!! GOODLUCK!!!
I think Brandon will start at game 2, he’ll throw for about 2,700 yards and about 800 will be to Trent Richardson. He will throw 20 td’s.
Chris Weinke.
Brandon Weeden should and will be the Brown’s starter from day one. He has all ready proven his dedication to becomimg an All-pro quarterback when he decided to leave baseball and excel at Oklahoma State. He’s a mature athlete with one of the strongest and accurate arms in the NFL. Look for him to turn the Brown’s franchise around with multiple passing games of 300+ yards and also be a candidate for rookie of the year. By the end of 2012 the NFL will be saying Cam who? KLP01@SBCGLOBAL.NET
I don’t think Brandon Weeden will make the Hall of Fame or rival Otto Graham as the greatest QB in the history of the Browns, just to get that out of the way. That being said, I think you can win a Super Bowl with Weeden under center. Will there be growing pains this year? Surely. However, when we look back on Weeden’s rookie season a year from now I think we will deem it a success. I envision one great game early (something like 300+ yards, 2 TDs) that will seem like a fluke until he gets more comfortable and replicates it once or twice towards the end of the season. For the year I’m imagining about 2,900 yards, 19 TDs and 13 INTs in 14 starts. In his career I think Weeden will make at least one, probably two or three Pro Bowls and be considered an above average starter for five or six years. I can only hope that I’m right.

I am always rooting for San diego companies to succeed!
Touchdown2341@gmail.com
He will be a starter and will throw 200yard
How about a younger Kurt Werner !?
Beats up DA’s 2007 numbers
So a QB controversy isn’t even a thought
Looking at 3333 yds 33 td 3 ints
Im thinking first round of playoffs
