Sources: Cavaliers Have Drummond Ranked Higher Than Barnes?
June 18, 2012Jared Sullinger “red flagged” by NBA doctors
June 18, 2012Kent State looked like they were intent on giving away their 5-4 lead in the 9th inning against #1 seed Florida. The Golden Flashes threw ball after ball after ball out of the strike zone.
Walk, walk, sac-bunt (one out,) hit batter (bases loaded,) and then what appeared to be another walk to tie the game at 5. Except on appeal to third base, it was determined the batter went around, and it was a strikeout for out number two.
Finally, Kent State pitcher Josh Pierce induced a fly out to right field to end the game. I am guessing it didn’t feel a whole lot like victory. The crowd in Omaha was absolutely stunned by the walk turned strikeout via appeal. More like relief. But Kent State advances, just the same, at the expense of the #1 seed Florida.

“didn’t feel a whole lot like a victory?”
It’s like dropping your cheeseburger on the sidewalk, only to notice a coupon for a free cheeseburger lying there!
