Ohio State’s Stoneburner and Mewhort released from scholarships – sorta

New Ohio State Coach Urban Meyer sure is laying the hammer down:

Ohio State redshirt senior tight end Jake Stoneburner and redshirtjunior offensive lineman Jack Mewhort have been removed from their athletic scholarships—at least until the end of the summer.

In a statement released Friday night from Urban Meyer via an OSU department of athletics spokesperson, the two football players “will each be removed from athletic scholarship beginning with the summer term, and they will continue to be suspended from team activities until stipulations are successfully met.”

Police found Stoneburner and company urinating on a school at 2:30AM and they were arrested for “obstructing official business.”

This is pretty much classic Urban Meyer punishment. YOU GUYS ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE (as long as there isn’t an important game coming up)
